Welcome to the Biersch Garten

This open-air 60' X 30' tent with family-style seating offers a shaded place to eat, drink, and be merry!


Grab a beer, a plate of authentic German food, and a Bavarian pretzel. Then take a seat in the Biersch Garden and relax as you listen and dance to live German music performed by the Zicke-Zacke Band on Saturday from 10am to 6pm and Sunday from 10am to 5pm.


Right outside are food vendors serving up a variety of authentic German and Bavarian dishes. Inside, our beer sponsor, Gordon Biersch Brewing Company, has numerous beers and ales on tap. 


The Biersch Garten will also host two events daily -- the annual stein-holding contest, judged by none other than Dan Gordon himself, and the second-annual "Best Dressed" costume contest, where those wearing the best Bavarian attire will be crowned, will take place beginning at 2pm on Saturday and Sunday.

The Contest

Held in the Biersch Garten at 3pm both days of the festival, thirty men and thirty women compete in separate contests. Judged by Dan Gordon, winners receive a glass boot stein.

Important Information

  • If you pre-purchase your spot, check in at Will Call no later than 2pm to secure your entry
  • To sign up, visit the Information Booth to be put on the list. Check in  no later than 2pm
  • Each person may only participate once
  • Go to the Biersch Garten by 2:30pm
